I want to try to figure out which animals provide the most value when farmed so I can make determinations as to which animals I want to keep. There are a few axes of consideration:
- Hunger rate — How much food does a single animal consume per day
- Growth rate — How long until an animal is mature
- Offspring — How many young are produced per pregnancy carried to term
- Gestation — How long does a pregnancy take
- Meat — How much meat is yielded when a single animal is slaughtered
- Milk — How much milk does a single female animal provide averaged per day
- Leather — How much leather is yielded when a single animal is slaughtered
- Wool — How much wool does a single animal provide averaged per day
In addition to how much leather and wool is produced, different leather and wool are valuable for different reasons:
- Armor
- Heat Insulation
- Cold Insulation
- Sale Value
Given all of these values, I should be able to come up with a set of numbers that allows for general comparison of two animal breeds.
